What is interculturalism?

It refers to the interaction between cultures, in a respectful, horizontal and synergetic way, where it is conceived that no cultural group is above the other, always favoring the integration and coexistence of both parties.

To support expatriates arriving in Chile or people who are going to migrate to another country, J&K accompanies them with intercultural training for adults and children/teenagers.

In-Company Workshops

J&K offers intercultural training for international professionals and multicultural teams within the same company.

Main objectives of the workshop:

Create a positive impact between collaborators from different cultures. Encourage and awaken curiosity within the teams, integrating cultural differences and exploiting their richness. Improve communication and understanding, and increase well-being at work within the team. Bring teams together and not alienate them because of their cultural differences.

Methodology

Some elements of our methodology we use to communicate and collaborate across cultural barriers.

Cultural role-playing

This involves simulations in which participants must act and interact according to the cultural norms of a specific country. This helps to better understand differences in communication styles, ways of communicating at work and managing emotions.

Interactive cultural quiz

In teams, we take a quiz with questions about the different cultures of the participants. We encourage collaboration and the search for information to answer the questions.

Case studies of solving cross-cultural challenges

We show participants simulated scenarios that highlight cultural differences in the workplace and ask them to propose solutions that are appropriate for each context.

Debates on cultural issues

Organized debates or discussions on controversial and interesting topics related to cultural diversity, such as multiculturalism in the workplace, and the impact of globalization on local cultures, among others.
